About the Treatment

What Does It Consist Of?

CO₂ Stretch Marks is a treatment designed to improve the texture and appearance of stretch marks through the controlled renewal of the skin and the stimulation of new collagen. Stretch marks are alterations in the structure of the skin that can appear after weight changes, growth, pregnancy or other processes of skin distension. The treatment aims to encourage the progressive remodeling of the tissue so that stretch marks become less visible and the skin surface looks more even.

What Is the Treatment Like?

The CO₂ laser is applied directly to the affected areas, working the stretch marks and surrounding tissue in a controlled way. The parameters are personalized according to the type of stretch mark, its age, extent, location and skin characteristics. The session focuses only on the areas that need treatment and can be adapted to small areas or larger extensions.

Results and Recovery

Results are progressive. The skin begins a renewal process after the session and continues producing and remodeling collagen over the following weeks and months. After the treatment it is common to experience redness, sensitivity and small scabs or flaking in the treated area. The response will also depend on the characteristics and age of the stretch marks, so several sessions may be necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the CO₂ laser completely remove stretch marks?

The goal is to reduce their visibility and improve the texture and quality of the skin. The complete disappearance of a stretch mark cannot be guaranteed.

What type of stretch marks can be treated?

The indication will depend on the type, age, color, extent and location of the stretch marks. That is why we carry out an assessment before establishing the protocol.

In which areas can it be performed?

It can be used on different areas of the body with stretch marks, as long as there is an indication and the skin can be treated safely.

How many sessions do I need?

It will depend on the characteristics of the stretch marks and the skin's response. In many cases a progressive treatment over several sessions is proposed.

When are the results visible?

Improvement appears progressively after recovery and continues over the following months thanks to the collagen remodeling process.

What is the difference between a small area and a large area?

The classification depends mainly on the extent of the area that needs treatment. During the assessment we will determine which one applies in each case.
