Frequently Asked Questions
Why does cellulite appear on the buttocks?
Gluteal cellulite results from subcutaneous fat accumulation combined with fluid retention and weakened connective tissue. Hormonal factors, genetics, sedentary lifestyle, and circulatory changes favor its development in this area. It's a very common condition affecting even lean individuals, since the buttocks naturally concentrate more adipose tissue.
What treatments does Santé use for gluteal cellulite?
At Santé, we combine cellulite subcision with INDIBA radiofrequency. Subcision releases the fibrous septa creating the dimpled effect, while INDIBA stimulates collagen production and improves microcirculation. This dual protocol works in depth, remodels texture, and provides lasting results.
How many sessions do I need and when will I see results?
The typical protocol includes 3-4 subcision sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, combined with INDIBA radiofrequency sessions. Initial texture changes appear within 2-3 months. Improvement progresses through 6 months, when connective tissue remodeling stabilizes.
Does the treatment hurt and what is recovery time?
Subcision is performed under local anesthesia, making the procedure painless. Post-treatment sensitivity may occur for 48-72 hours. INDIBA requires no anesthesia. Downtime is minimal: you can resume normal activities the next day, though intense exercise should be avoided for one week.
