Help & Support
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does neck skin become loose with age?
Neck laxity develops from progressive loss of collagen and elastin, combined with gravity's effects on thinner skin than the face. The neck has fewer sebaceous glands and undergoes constant movement, accelerating aging. Sun exposure, bone volume loss, and muscle weakening contribute to that characteristic sagging appearance. These factors work synergistically to compromise skin integrity and elasticity over time.
What treatments does Santé use for neck laxity?
At Santé, we combine HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) to stimulate deep collagen and tighten skin with Radiesse (calcium hydroxyapatite) to restore volume and projection. HIFU works in dermal layers without invasion, while Radiesse provides immediate structural support. This dual protocol enhances firmness and jawline definition results significantly.
How many sessions do I need and when will I see neck results?
We typically recommend 1–2 HIFU sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, complemented with one or two Radiesse applications as needed. HIFU results are progressive: first visible changes at 2–3 weeks, maximum improvement at 3 months. Radiesse acts immediately, with refinement through 2 weeks post-treatment.
Does neck treatment hurt and what recovery time is needed?
HIFU produces controlled warmth sensation; we apply topical anesthesia for comfort. Radiesse is virtually painless. There's no downtime—resume activities immediately. Some patients experience mild temporary sensitivity or redness. No age restrictions or major contraindications if medical evaluation is favorable.
