Moderate cellulite

About the Treatment

Moderate cellulite

Cellulite is a connective and fat tissue alteration causing the orange-peel or quilted look. Genetics, estrogenic hormones, poor microcirculation, sedentary life and sharp weight changes all play a role. Very common, not a weight issue: it appears in lean patients too.

Who does it affect?

Affects 80–90% of adult women in varying degrees. Starts from puberty and worsens with pregnancy, hormonal contraceptives or sedentary life. Consistency matters more than intensity: progressive sessions with follow-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does cellulite appear and why is it harder to eliminate than other skin imperfections?

Moderate cellulite results from a combination of connective tissue fibrosis, fat accumulation, and fluid retention. Fibrous bands trap adipose tissue, creating the characteristic "orange peel" appearance. Genetic, hormonal, and circulatory factors perpetuate it, making it resistant to diet and exercise alone. This is why it requires specific treatments that remodel the subcutaneous structure.

What treatments does Santé Clinic use for moderate cellulite?

At Santé, we combine cellulite subcision with INDIBA radiofrequency. Subcision releases adherent fibrous bands, while INDIBA stimulates collagen contraction and remodeling in the dermis. This dual protocol addresses both fibrosis and skin laxity, significantly improving texture and skin relief.

How many sessions do I need and when will I see cellulite results?

Typically 3-4 subcision sessions are required, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, complemented with INDIBA radiofrequency sessions. Initial changes appear 2-3 weeks post-treatment; improvement progresses over 3-4 months as collagen regenerates. Optimal results are consolidated at 6 months.

Does cellulite subcision hurt and what is my downtime?

Subcision is performed under local anesthesia, so the procedure is painless. Post-treatment involves mild edema, light bruising, and sensitivity for 7-10 days. Avoid intense exercise and direct sun exposure the first week. No daily activity restrictions apply. Consult our team about individual contraindications.
