It is a treatment with neuromodulators that slightly relaxes the muscle around the upper lip to show more lip and improve its definition without adding volume.

Is it the same as a lip filler?

No. The Lip Flip does not add volume like hyaluronic acid. The effect is achieved by relaxing the upper-lip muscle.

Does the result look natural?

Yes. The goal is to achieve a subtle and elegant effect with no artificial appearance.

The treatment is usually virtually painless and requires no anaesthesia.

Are there side effects?

Mild swelling, small bruises or a temporary feeling of slight stiffness may appear in the treated area.

Can I combine it with hyaluronic acid?

Yes. Many patients combine the Lip Flip with lip hydration or contouring to enhance the result.

About the Treatment

What Does It Involve?

The Lip Flip is a minimally invasive medical-aesthetic treatment that uses small doses of neuromodulators to gently relax the muscle around the upper lip and achieve a more defined, lifted and visible lip without adding extra volume. Unlike lip filling with hyaluronic acid, the Lip Flip does not significantly increase the size of the lips. Its goal is to slightly relax the orbicularis muscle so the upper lip projects subtly outward, creating a more balanced and natural appearance. It is an ideal treatment for patients who want to show more upper lip when smiling, improve the definition of the upper lip, achieve a natural effect without excessive volume, correct a mild gummy smile, improve facial balance around the mouth, or try a more subtle alternative before having a lip filler.

What Is the Treatment Like?

The procedure consists of small injections of neuromodulators at strategic points around the orbicularis muscle of the lips. The application is quick, virtually painless and usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes. It requires no anaesthesia or recovery time. The treatment is personalised according to each patient's lip anatomy and desired result.

Results and Recovery

The results of the Lip Flip begin to appear progressively between 3 and 7 days after the treatment, reaching the final result at approximately 2 weeks. The upper lip looks slightly more relaxed, visible and defined while keeping a natural and elegant result. The effects usually last between 6 and 8 weeks depending on the patient's metabolism and muscle activity. Most patients can return to their usual routine immediately.
