What is hair-loss medication?

It is a personalised medical regimen that combines clinically-validated active compounds: oral finasteride and dutasteride as 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, plus topical or oral minoxidil as a vasodilator, to address androgenetic alopecia and other forms of chronic hair loss. The protocol is built after a scalp assessment, a detailed medical history and, when needed, hormone blood tests. The goal is not only to stop the loss but also to maintain the result long-term and, in many cases, recover part of the density that was lost.

How is the treatment prescribed?

In the first consultation the doctor reviews your clinical history, evaluates the pattern and progression of the loss and, if relevant, requests bloodwork to rule out deficits or hormonal imbalances. From there a personalised regimen is designed, possibly combining oral and topical medication, with adjusted doses and duration. The medication is reassessed periodically to confirm tolerance and response, and is synchronised with other hair treatments such as PRP, mesotherapy and exosomes when a combined protocol is the right fit.
